Mark 1:35 (Listen)

35 And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.

Isolated Prayer

We live in a fast-paced culture that seems to rarely give us an opportunity to catch our breath. But Jesus, in the midst of spreading His Gospel News, chose to pause and pray before doing His work. It’s crucial for us to: seek the Lord before our busy day, withdraw from distractions to give our Holy God our undivided attention, mirror Jesus’s attitude of communion with the Father, reflect on priorities, and pray regularly. Prayer was a vital aspect of Jesus’s life; we, too, should hold that action in high esteem through our daily lives.
